About the Artist

Gitty Greenberg is an Israeli artist based in Jerusalem, Israel. Her works are created with varied media, mainly watercolor, oil paint, and graphite. Gitty's works display different themes, ranging from live scenes and portraiture to landscapes and still-life.

 

Being rooted in an ultra-orthodox environment along with her life within a mixed society, Gitty has adopted the beholder role and a careful point of view to the objects in sight. Over the course of her artistic process, Gitty has studied art in both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, with her paintings showcased in exhibitions and her illustrations displayed in several books.

 

As an active artist, Gitty continually explores new horizons, traveling to different places and managing her art studio in Jerusalem. Currently pursuing an M.A. in linguistics, Gitty resides in Jerusalem with her husband and their dog.
